SUNSON Project: Successful Completion of the M24 Consortium Meeting!

We are excited to announce that the 4th Consortium Technical Meeting of the SUNSON Project took place online on January 14th, 2025, hosted by our esteemed partner UPM. This milestone meeting marked Month 24 (M24) of the project and brought together all project partners for insightful discussions and collaborative efforts.

Throughout the meeting, we discussed key updates and progress across all Work Packages (WPs), as well as addressing challenges and setting the stage for the exciting next steps in the project’s development. The meeting’s agenda included a series of technical presentations covering various aspects of the SUNSON project:

• WP1: Project Management (UPM / IDENER)
• WP2: Integration Modelling and SUNSON Tool Development (IDENER)
• WP3: Solar to Heat Conversion and Storage – Tasks 3.1 to 3.3 (NTNU)
• WP3: Solar to Heat Conversion and Storage – Tasks 3.4 to 3.7 (PSA-CIEMAT)
• WP4: Heat to Power Conversion (UPM)
• WP5: Flagship Demonstration (PSA-CIEMAT)
• WP6: Sustainability Assessment and TEA (HOLOSS)
• WP7: Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation (IDENER)

The meeting concluded with clear action points and timelines, ensuring the continued progress of the SUNSON project. Partners provided crucial updates, raised important concerns, and agreed on strategies to move forward together, ensuring that all project goals are met efficiently. The next phase will focus on finalizing deliverables, addressing risks, and refining designs for the project’s next steps.
