Productive Session at the SUNSON Exploitation Workshop (27th September 2024)

The SUNSON team recently held an impactful Internal Exploitation Workshop, bringing together our partners for a productive session aimed at refining the project’s exploitation strategy. The workshop, hosted by Nuria Ferrera, provided an excellent platform for interactive collaboration using the MURAL tool, allowing all participants to contribute to several key activities.

• Key Exploitable Results (KERs) & Individual Exploitable Results (IERs): We revisited and updated our project’s innovative outputs, ensuring that both KERs and IERs align with the project’s commercial, scientific, and societal goals.
• Business Model & Competitor Analysis: Through the workshop, we further refined the business model canvas, focusing on customer segments, key partnerships, revenue streams, and cost structures. Additionally, the team conducted a competitor analysis, identifying market gaps and ensuring our solutions remain competitive.
• SWOT & PEST Analysis: We applied SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and PEST (Political, Economic, Social, and Technological) analyses to deepen our understanding of the business landscape, positioning the SUNSON-Box and SUNSON-Tool for success in the CSP and energy storage markets.

This workshop was a crucial step in ensuring that the results of our project, particularly innovations like the SUNSON-Box and the SUNSON-Tool, are ready for commercialization and broader impact. These technologies offer significant potential for renewable energy solutions, focusing on concentrated solar power (CSP), energy storage, and solar fuels production.

The session also allowed us to fine-tune our approach to stakeholder engagement, ensuring that all relevant target groups—from industry partners to policymakers and civil society—are aligned with SUNSON’s objectives.
